Prospect Portrait Prize People’s Choice Award

Simone’s painting ‘Food and Desire – Conflict 1′ has won the People’s Choice Award at the Prospect Portrait Prize, Prospect Gallery – South Australia. Thank you to all those who voted, and thank you to Fenwicks Real Estate for donating the prize money.

‘In the Language of Angels’ opened in Brooklyn on 24 October. The above piece, Doe-a-Deer I, painted exclusively for the exhibition, sold last week to a collector in Brooklyn.

A special thanks from Simone goes out to Andrew Michael Ford, Ad Hoc’s director, for his tireless efforts and ongoing communication with the artists with updates on the show – and also for this link, where Ad Hoc and ‘In the Language of Angels’ get a mention from the Washington Post.

Exhibiting along with Simone is Sarah Joncas (Canada), Camilla d’Errico (Canada), Mijn Schatje (France), Lisa Alisa (Russia) and Mia (USA).

The exhibition is currently showing at Ad Hoc Gallery and will run until 23 November.
